In My Memory

Searching through an old cardboard box
for a special memory
a photograph of your angel face
that you framed and gave to me
I remember the way you looked at me
and then I heard you say

Baby, I’ll be yours forever
forever and a day
we will always be together
and I will always stay
right by your side and inside your heart
is where I always want to be.
That’s what you said way back then
in my memory.

I came across a seashell
from that special night
A moonlight walk along the beach
and when I held you tight
you looked at me with those emerald eyes
I can still hear you say

(Repeat chorus)

That fateful night I lost you
and God took you away.
What would I give, what would I do
for one more time to hear you say?

(Repeat chorus)

I feel you deep inside my heart
and that’s where you’ll always be
I’ll keep our love safe and warm
in my memory.
