The Edge Of Forever and Goodbye

Once we had the time
to walk hand in hand
to run through the waves
and lie on the sand.

Once we had the time
to kiss like lovers
to cry at old movies
and laugh with each other.

Livin' on the edge
of forever and goodbye
Not knowing whether
I'm gonna live or die
Wonderin' if you still love me
or if I'm gonna cry
You've got me livin' on the edge
of forever and goodbye.

Once we had the need
to see each other through
the toughest of times
ahhh, they were so few.

Once we had it all
but I guess you wanted more.
How could I know
what you had in store?

(repeat chorus)

Maybe if things had been different
maybe if times had been hard
maybe we'd have pulled each other closer
from the very start.

(repeat chorus)

You've got me livin' on the edge
of forever and goodbye
so I guess if you won't talk to me ...

it's forever ...

goodbye.
